TAGRallySport is preparing mother and son teams for 2012 running of the Waste Management Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally in scenic Wellsboro, Penn.

In this family rivalry, team owner and rally driver Tracey Gardiner, with co-driver Maureen Hasher, will go head-to-head against her son Rory Gardiner and his teammate Steven Harrell, both in Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS cars competing in the Open Light class.

After the 3,000-mile trek to the beautiful Dalles area of Oregon for the third round of the national series, the Oregon Trail Rally, driver and co-driver Tracey Gardiner and Erika Detota had a short-lived run after going off on stage 5, ending the rally for the team.

Gardiner said traveling across the U.S. for the event, as well as the rally preparation, to only receive a DNF was difficult.

"To be out that early in the event was heart wrenching for me as the team owner," Gardiner said. "But after a late dinner, my fantastic crew loaded the car in the trailer and headed back to the East Coast to get ready for Pennsylvania--that's rally."

TAGRallySport now has its sights set on competing at STPR®.

“STPR regularly draws the top rally teams from the United States and Canada” she said. “It will be great to spend some time again with the Summit Rally Team from Australia fielding their two 400bhp turbocharged, rear-wheel-drive Nissans, all of us are here to put our skills to the extreme test of performance rally.”

Gardiner added performance rally is the world's most popular form of motor sport and competitors are widely considered the most skillful drivers of all racers.

STPR will also be the inaugural event for the Open Lite Academy, a new series for cars competing in the Open Light class. It is the only Rally America event so far in the series, crossing sanctioning organizations to include all teams competing in this class.

Rally America is the sanctioning body for National Championship, as well as regional-level performance rally and the new Global Rallycross events.

TAGRallySport is a Rhode Island-based woman-owned new age motor sports marketing company, dedicated to the marketing and sponsorship of all aspects of competition stage rally cars and RallyCross.
